Striving to improve the technical skills of the industry, in conjunction with the CITB, by promoting training through funding

Plymouth Construction Training Group is a 'Not for profit' organisation working with our members to promote and raise the standards of the training activity to the construction industry, making Health and Safety of paramount importance.

We are open to all Micro and SME construction employers, so from one person contractors; sub-contractors to larger businesses and support our members by identifying suitable training, helping with CITB funding and grant applications and sourcing training locally at discounted rates in:

  • Health & Safety
  • Apprenticeships
  • Craft Trades & Operatives
  • Management & Supervisory

Health and Safety applies to all businesses wholly or partly involved in construction, regardless of their size - any individual, sole trader; self-employed worker or company.

Anyone who works in construction must be able to demonstrate that they have the skills, knowledge, and experience and, where an organisation, the organisational capability to carry out work safely and without risk to health.

It is the law and all must comply with Health & Safety legislation - failure to do so can lead to fines, imprisonment and disqualification.

This is why training is so important - it is needed, not only to keep individuals and their workforce safe but keep the public safe too. This is why the PCTG is here ... to help you.
